A detailed drawing of an amethyst. This project was an exercise in drawing from real life, and as a result, a photo reference was never used; instead, a real amethyst gemstone served as the reference for the entire project. Illustrated with graphite on paper and then colored in Photoshop. 11x14". The process included research, composition thumbnails, and then several sketches before moving to the final drawing.
